Public lectures by Prof. Oscar Castillo and Prof. Patricia Melin

On June 3, 2015, Prof. Oscar Castillo and Prof. Patricia Melin from the Technical Institute of Tijuana, Mexico, dilivered invited lectures in the Institute of Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering on the topics:

  • Prof. Oscar Castillo: Fuzzy Dynamic Parameter Adaptation in the Cuckoo Search Algorithm via Levy Flights
  • Prof. Patricia Melin: Cuckoo Search for the Optimization of Type 2 Fuzzy Systems in Edge Detection

Prof. Castillo and Prof. Melin were invited guests of the Bioinformatics and Mathematical Modelling Dept. in the frames of the DFNI-I-02-5/2014 project with the National Science Fund. Among the audience of their lecture were also researchers from Germany, Morocco, Poland and Turkey – participants in the 19-th International Conference on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets, coorganized by IBPhBME-BAS and the University “Prof. Asen Zlatarov”.
