БГTwo scientists from IBPhBME were awarded on the occasion of the Bulgarian Education and Culture and Slavonic Literature Day, May 24.
At an official ceremony on May 21, Corr. Member Prof. Krassimir Atanassov, DSc, was awarded the ‘Pythagoras’ 2013 Prize for established researcher in the field of technical sciences. Prof. Atanassov was nominated for this award by the IBPhBME and the Burgas University ‘Prof. Assen Zlatarov’. He was presented with the award by Acad. Stefan Vodenicharov, in the presence of the Bulgarian President Mr. Rosen Plevneliev.
A day later, during the celebration in the meeting hall of the Central Administration of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Stefan Hadjitodorov, DSc, was also awarded the ‘Marin Drinov’ Honorary Decoration with Ribbon. This prize is bestowed for high scientific achievements and public service for the promotion of the authority of the oldest scientific institution of Bulgaria.
