Data for Biomechanical Modelling
of the Bone-Joint-Muscle System of the Human Upper Limb

  1. Geometrical and mass – inertial characteristics of the upper human limb and its segments (arm, forearm and wrist)
  2. Muscles of the upper human limb, accepted abbreviations, and muscle actions in the gross joints (shoulder, elbow and wrist)
  3. Arrangement of the muscles acting in the gross joints according to their participation in the joint motions
  4. Moment direction about the rotation axes in the joints of the modeled muscle forces
  5. Schematical representation of some muscles in the sagittal plane
  6. Anatomical schemes of some of the muscles with their attachment points
  7. Physiological cross-sectional areas of the muscles
  8. Muscle moment arms (average values, regression equations and graphics)
